Western Frontier Finals Details
The Western Frontier Finals is fast approaching; it starts in about 21 days. I'm very excited about it! The anticipation has been building for me throughout the season each week as I see the membership grow and the number of team counts increase. I enjoy seeing each contestant competing not only onsite at the tour events, but also winning Top Ten points. In addition, we have ropers that are still trying to get qualified for the Western Frontier Finals, so there is a lot going on at each Tour Stop.
Two Qualifiers Left.
The MegaBucks Finale roping – ANYONE can enter the MegaBucks Finale. If you haven’t been to an NAA tour stop this summer, there are two left, the Heel-O-Matic Challenge in Mandan, ND August 25 & 26, and the Labor Day Classic in Buffalo, Wyoming, September 1 & 2.
$10,000 Guaranteed.
At the Western Frontier Finals, the MegaBucks Finale is enter two times, for $300 per man, 80% payback. This roping will have a draw in option available, so if you need a partner you will be able to draw one onsite. With the draw in option, it may cause a roper to be in the MegaBucks Finale three times. ANYONE CAN ENTER THE MegaBucks Finale. I have guaranteed that this roping will pay $10,000 a team for first in the average.
There have been 12 teams throughout the year that have won 1st in the average at an NAA tour stop that will have a free roll into the Finale. You have to rope with the person you won with. If that person is not coming or got their classification increased and you are no longer eligible as a team to enter, then you can rope with a different partner, however your partner will still have to pay his/her entry fee.
Match of Champions
In the Match of Champions on Friday and Saturday, you must be in the top 100 of your roping division to rope. Those standings will be final after Sunday, September 2 – we will have them posted September 5th.
Top Ten
The top ten races in each of the six divisions will be over after September 2. We will have those points posted no later then September 5. We will be awarding Gist Buckles to the top point winner in each division, and trophy jackets to the top ten in each division. You do not have to come to the finals to qualify or to get your awards. If you can’t get to the finals, we will ship them out after the Finals.
